Google Consent Mode v2 implementation
The analytics integration uses Google Consent Mode v2:
- Default state: When you visit the site, all consent signals (
analytics_storage,ad_storage,ad_user_data,ad_personalization) are initialized to denied. - Advertising signals: Advertising-related states (
ad_storage,ad_user_data,ad_personalization) remain permanently denied because veridis.dev does not use advertising services or remarketing tags. - When Analytics is denied or not selected: Google Analytics does not write or read measurement cookies on your device. Cookieless pings may be sent to Google for aggregate traffic modeling.
- When Analytics is accepted: The
analytics_storageparameter is updated to granted, allowing GA4 to write first-party measurement cookies and record page views.
Managing and withdrawing consent
You can review or change your cookie settings at any time:
- Cookie preferences link: Click Cookie preferences in the footer of any page on veridis.dev to open the preferences modal.
- Preference options: You may accept all categories, customize your selection, or reject optional analytics.
- Cookie deletion upon withdrawal: If you withdraw consent for Analytics, the consent manager immediately resets
analytics_storageto denied and automatically removes all first-party Google Analytics cookies (_gaand_ga_*) from your browser. - Browser settings: You can also inspect, block, or delete cookies using your browser’s built-in privacy and security settings.
