Dashboard & Activity

Operational metrics, match audit logs, exact identifier visibility, and automated 90-day retention in Veridis Fraud Guard.

Veridis Fraud Guard Free provides complete operational visibility into every protection decision made on your store.

Under WooCommerce → Fraud Guard → Dashboard, store managers can access a clean summary of store protection metrics:

  • Current protection mode: Clear badge indicating whether the store is operating in Off, Warn, Hold, or Block mode, with a quick link to adjust settings.
  • Active blocklist rules: Total counts of active rules broken down by type (Email, Phone, IP, and Domain).
  • 30-day activity summary: Total checkout match events recorded over the previous 30 calendar days.
  • Recent activity feed: A quick-glance list of the five most recent match events with order numbers and rule links.

The Activity log (WooCommerce → Fraud Guard → Activity) is an immutable operational record of every checkout evaluation that matched an active blocklist rule.

For every match event, Fraud Guard logs:

Field Description
Date & Time Exact timestamp of the checkout evaluation.
Order ID Link to the corresponding WooCommerce order record (if created in Warn or Hold mode).
Identifier Type The matched rule category: Email, Phone, IP, or Domain.
Matched Value The exact identifier value submitted during checkout that triggered the match.
Applied Mode The protection mode in effect at the time of evaluation (Warn, Hold, or Block).
Action Taken Detailed outcome (e.g., Blocked at checkout, Placed on hold (COD), Logged with private note).

Store managers can filter the Activity log by:

  • Identifier type (Email, Phone, IP, Domain)
  • Applied protection mode (Block, Hold, Warn)
  • Date range

Unlike third-party fraud systems that report generic “risk scores” without actionable specifics, Fraud Guard gives store managers complete visibility into the exact identifier that triggered protection.

If an order was placed on hold, the store manager can immediately see:

Matched Phone rule: +15551234567 (Entry note: “Refused package on order #1084”)

This transparency allows store staff to verify the situation quickly without guessing or digging through server log files.

To maintain database performance and comply with data minimization and privacy standards, Fraud Guard includes an automated data retention policy.

  • Retention window: Exact matched identifier values in checkout Activity logs expire and are automatically cleared after 90 days.
  • Non-identifying records preserved: Operational Activity records (timestamp, outcome, checkout source, matched identifier type, and order reference) remain for historical reporting.
  • Automated cron cleanup: A daily scheduled WordPress task (veridis_fraud_guard_purge_activity_identifiers) automatically purges expired identifier snapshots from the wp_veridis_fraud_guard_activity table.
  • Blocklist rules are permanent: Active and inactive merchant blocklist rules in wp_veridis_fraud_guard_blocklist are permanent until manually deleted by a store administrator.
